This will ensure that the door remains armed in case of power outage, circuit failure or attempts to cut off the power illegally. If the power is cut off for any reason, the back up battery will operate the unit normally, and recharge itself when power is restored. Should power not be restored after approximately 15 hours the alarm will sound.

The keys used with this system are High Security Keys, which help protect against unauthorized duplication of keys.
